The position of Parish Nurse was created as a ministry at the Church of Saint Dominic through the understanding that the church has a role in healing which has been recognized since earliest Christianity. The nature of the church is to be a healing community in the holistic concept of health as encompassing body, mind and spirit.

The congregation of the Church of Saint Dominic and the

surrounding community.

The clergy, church staff or the Interfaith Health Ministry makes referrals. Referrals are also made by people in the community as well as by a person in need. A referral can be made by calling 507-645-8816 extension 23. The Parish Nurse will call the person/family in need to make an assessment of what the next steps will be.
